Yesterday the National Bandy Team of Russia paved the way to the Ultimate Game of the Year by defeating Finland 6-2.
As the previous round robin game with Finland, this one also became a real "brainer" for the Russian squad. It took them a whole half-time to catch up with the staunch Finns, but unlike two days ago this time around in the second half Russians focused on physicality, pressure, smart presentation and scored four unanswered goals. SKA players contributed a lot, as usual. Maksim Ishkeldin with his field effort and Artyom Bondarenko from a corner standard each scored a goal. Yanis Befus had two helpers. Here we go fellas, there's a final game of the Worlds 2019 looming near. Two greatest bandy teams of our times will lock their horns tomorrow. Sweden annihilated Kazakhstan 20-1 to finish up in the limo league too. Our own Erik Pettersson scored five goals in this game. P.S. I am sending my warmest hello to a sweet Swedish couple I met up with in Bangkok and to all Swedish bandy fans!
